What is TB Sure?
TB Sure measures your immune system’s response to proteins from the bacteria that cause tuberculosis. It checks whether white blood cells release a signaling protein when exposed to those TB proteins.
What does TB Sure measure?
This helps find both past exposure (latent infection) and supports diagnosis of active TB disease. The test is important because early detection prevents spread and guides treatment. Doctors use it for screening contacts, pre-treatment checks before immune-suppressing medicines, workplace screening, and when symptoms suggest TB.
What symptoms suggest TB Sure may be needed?
A doctor may recommend TB Sure when a patient reports sudden fever (above 38.5°C), body aches and chills, persistent headache, nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain, skin rash, joint pain, and extreme fatigue. How is TB Sure performed?
